Stille Auf Hoher See

"Stille Auf Hoher See/ Calm Day On The Lake" is an original painting on stretched canvas . It was painted en  pleinair during one of my stays near Garda Lake in the North of Italy.

I love to paint the impressive landscape of this mountain lake.

The horizon seems endless when clouds and mists blend with the mountains.

Every moment, the sky and the light changes.

I painted this seascape “alla prima” in one single sitting, which forced me to paint quickly with lively and spontaneous brushstrokes that lend this painting a sense of movement and serenity at the same time .

The painting will arrive ready to hang.

I use professional grade oil paint and I seal the painting with a Varnish (UV Protection and Museum Grade).

Artist signature on front and back of the painting.

The artwork is photographed in natural light and can vary its colors throughout the day.
